Your safari begins with a scenic drive north from Nairobi to Samburu, known for its arid beauty and unique wildlife. You’ll stop at the equator crossing for a brief refreshment break. Upon arrival, check in at Ashnil Samburu Camp and enjoy a hot lunch. In the evening, set out for your first game drive in search of the Samburu Special Five: the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, head out on a morning game drive during peak wildlife activity. Watch for big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs alongside other iconic species. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, and later enjoy an evening game drive through this uniquely rugged reserve.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s leading conservation areas. On arrival, you’ll check in at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp, enjoy lunch, and unwind before heading out for an afternoon game drive. You’ll explore the conservancy’s rich biodiversity and visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya.
