Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Windhoek Truckport at approximately 7:00 a.m. The scenic drive to Sesriem covers around 345 kilometers and takes approximately five hours. Along the route, enjoy incredible views of the Naukluft Mountains, the famous Spreetshoogte Pass, and the renowned Window Bridge viewpoint.
As the landscape gradually changes from highlands to desert plains, you will gain a true appreciation for Namibia’s natural beauty. Upon arrival, check in at The Desert Grace, your home for the next two nights. Later in the afternoon, join a relaxing Sundowner Dune Drive, offering spectacular views of the desert as the sun sets across the dunes.
Dinner can be enjoyed at the lodge at your own expense.
Begin the day with an early guided excursion to Sossusvlei, one of Namibia’s most famous natural attractions. Climb Big Daddy, one of the highest sand dunes in the world, and enjoy breathtaking views across the surrounding desert landscape.
Continue to Dead Vlei, where ancient camelthorn trees stand against a striking backdrop of white clay and red dunes. The contrast creates one of the most photographed scenes in Namibia. The excursion also includes a visit to Sesriem Canyon, a remarkable natural formation carved by water over thousands of years.
The tour includes park entrance fees, brunch, and refreshments. After approximately five to six hours of exploration, return to the lodge and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Accommodation: The Desert Grace
After breakfast, depart the Namib Desert and begin your journey toward the Atlantic coast. Travel through the Tropic of Capricorn and the impressive Kuiseb Canyon while enjoying more of Namibia’s spectacular scenery.
A stop is made at the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a beautiful coastal wetland known for its large populations of flamingos and other birdlife. Enjoy lunch while taking in the scenic surroundings before continuing to Swakopmund.
Upon arrival, your Namibia Safari comes to an end. Guests may choose to continue exploring Namibia or spend additional time enjoying the coastal charm of Swakopmund. This itinerary can also operate in reverse, beginning in Swakopmund and ending in Windhoek.
