Tour Plan

Your Uganda long safari holiday begins when you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. A professional safari representative will meet you and begin the journey toward Kibale National Park.
Travel through Uganda’s green countryside, passing tea farms, banana plantations, small towns and villages. The road also takes you through Fort Portal, a beautiful town surrounded by green hills and views toward the Rwenzori Mountains.
On arrival, check into Isunga Lodge and enjoy lunch.
Later, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk. The wetland is home to many birds, monkeys and other small animals. Look for red colobus monkeys, hornbills, turacos and kingfishers as you walk through the area.
Your guide will also explain how local people use different plants and how the community helps protect the wetland.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking.
After a short briefing, enter the forest with an experienced ranger. Walk along forest trails while listening for chimpanzee calls and movement in the trees.
When the chimpanzees are located, spend time watching them feed, groom, play and communicate. This is one of the most exciting primate experiences on your Uganda long safari holiday.
After the trek, enjoy lunch and continue south to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Continue through green hills, farms and banana plantations toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
On arrival, enjoy a Batwa community walk. Meet members of the Batwa community and learn about their traditional way of life. Listen to songs, watch traditional dances and discover how they once depended on the forest for food, medicine and shelter.

Today is one of the biggest highlights of your Uganda long safari holiday.
After an early breakfast, travel to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Rangers will explain the trekking rules before you enter Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Walk through the thick rainforest with your guides while searching for a mountain gorilla family. The trek may take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas.
Once the gorillas are found, spend time watching them in their natural home. Observe how they feed, rest, play and care for their young.
After completing the trek, return for lunch before continuing to Lake Bunyonyi.
The lake is surrounded by green hills and many small islands, making it a peaceful place to relax after your forest adventure.

After breakfast, leave Lake Bunyonyi and travel toward Lake Mburo National Park.
On arrival, check into Rangeland Mburo Lodge and enjoy lunch before beginning your afternoon activities.
Take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and look for hippos, crocodiles and many water birds. The calm lake provides a relaxing way to enjoy the park and view wildlife from the water.
Later, head out for an evening game drive.
Lake Mburo National Park is known for zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, buffaloes and many other animals. The smaller size of the park makes wildlife viewing feel close and personal.
As the sun begins to set, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Begin your morning with a walking or bicycle safari through Lake Mburo National Park.
Explore the park from a different point of view while looking for zebras, giraffes, antelopes and other wildlife.
After the activity, begin your journey toward Kampala.
Along the way, stop at the Equator line in Masaka. Take photographs, visit local craft shops and enjoy a short break before continuing your journey.
Arrive in Kampala later in the day and settle into your accommodation.

After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Tanzania.
Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Tanzania safari guide will meet you on arrival.

Today, explore the famous Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is known for its wide plains and large numbers of wildlife. Enjoy game drives while searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest.
Depending on the season, you may also have the chance to see large herds linked to the Great Migration.
Your safari guide will take you through different areas of the park and help you search for both predators and grazing animals.

This part of the safari offers another chance to see animals and enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in northern Tanzania.

The Ngorongoro region is also a wonderful place for photography, with open views and dramatic landscapes.

Enjoy dinner and rest as your Uganda long safari holiday enters its final stage

After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for your final major wildlife experience.

The crater has grasslands, forests, wetlands and open areas that support many different animals. Search for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and rhinos. Flamingos and other birds may also be seen around the wet areas.

Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor before beginning the journey toward Arusha.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or a short stop in Arusha.

Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
