Your adventure begins at Kigali International Airport, where you will meet your professional driver-guide and transfer to your hotel. The following morning, explore Kigali and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and the country’s journey of recovery. You will then travel through Rwanda’s green countryside toward the Uganda border and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Bwindi is one of Africa’s most important mountain gorilla habitats. Here, the main highlight of your Rwanda Budget Safari is a guided gorilla trek through the thick tropical forest. Experienced trackers will lead you in search of an assigned gorilla family. Trekking can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will have the permitted viewing time to quietly watch their behavior in their natural forest home.
After the gorilla experience, your journey continues back to Rwanda and the beautiful Volcanoes region. Your final adventure is golden monkey trekking, offering another chance to explore the forest while searching for these active and colorful primates.

Tour Plan
Your Rwanda Budget Safari begins upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. After completing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will meet a company representative who will welcome you to Rwanda.
You will be introduced to your professional driver-guide and receive a short briefing about the journey ahead. This is also a good time to ask questions about border crossings, gorilla trekking, weather conditions, and what you should carry during the safari.
After the briefing, transfer to your hotel in Kigali and check in. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel or enjoy some free time before dinner.
The first evening is kept relaxed so that you can recover from your international journey and prepare for the adventure ahead. Enjoy dinner at the hotel followed by a comfortable overnight stay in Kigali.

After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin the day with a guided Kigali city experience. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an important place for understanding the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi and Rwanda's journey of remembrance, reconciliation, and rebuilding.
After the visit, continue through Kigali before stopping for lunch. Your Rwanda Budget Safari then heads toward southwestern Uganda. The journey takes you through Rwanda's rolling hills, small towns, farmland, and beautiful countryside before reaching the border.
After completing immigration procedures, continue into Uganda and drive toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The landscape becomes increasingly mountainous and green as you approach the forest.
Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most important habitats for endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, and enjoy dinner. Your guide will also help you prepare for the following morning's gorilla trekking experience.

Wake up early and prepare for the biggest wildlife experience of your Rwanda Budget Safari. After breakfast, transfer to the designated park headquarters, where Uganda Wildlife Authority officials will provide an important briefing about gorilla trekking.
You will be assigned a gorilla family before entering Bwindi's thick forest with experienced guides and trackers. The trek can take several hours depending on the location and movement of the gorillas. Trails may be steep, muddy, and uneven, so comfortable walking shoes, long trousers, drinking water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and rain protection are recommended.
When the gorillas are located, you will have the permitted viewing time to observe them from a controlled distance. Watching a silverback resting, young gorillas playing, or mothers caring for their babies can become one of the most memorable moments of your African journey.
After trekking, return to the starting point and continue your journey back across the border into Rwanda. Arrive in the Volcanoes region, check into your lodge, and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for your final primate adventure. You will transfer to the briefing point near Volcanoes National Park and meet the guides who will lead your golden monkey trekking experience.
Golden monkeys are active primates known for their bright golden-orange coloring and playful behavior. They mainly live in bamboo forests around the Virunga Mountains. The trek is generally shorter and less demanding than mountain gorilla trekking, making it an enjoyable way to complete your safari.
Once the monkeys are found, watch them move through bamboo, feed, jump between branches, and interact with one another. Your guide will explain their behavior and the conservation work being carried out to protect them and their forest habitat.
After the trek, return to the lodge and have lunch before starting the drive back to Kigali. Depending on your departure arrangements, your driver-guide will take you to Kigali International Airport or your chosen accommodation in the city.
