Your Samburu Fly in Safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. You will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. The flight takes approximately 1.5 hours, making it a much faster option than traveling by road.

As you fly north, enjoy views of Kenya's changing landscapes, from the busy surroundings of Nairobi to open countryside and the drier landscapes of northern Kenya. Upon arrival at the Samburu airstrip, you will be welcomed by your lodge's driver-guide.

You will then begin your transfer to Ashnil Samburu Camp. After check-in, enjoy some time to relax and settle into your accommodation before lunch. The camp offers a comfortable base for exploring Samburu and enjoying the natural surroundings.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Your guide will take you through the reserve in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. After the morning game drive, return to Ashnil Samburu Camp for breakfast. You will then have time to relax at the camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Depending on your interests, you may spend time at the swimming pool or take part in optional activities such as guided nature walks, subject to availability and additional charges.

After lunch, head out again for an afternoon game drive. Your guide will explore different areas of the reserve while looking for more wildlife and interesting landscapes. Samburu offers excellent opportunities for photography, especially during the softer afternoon light.

Keep an eye out for the reserve's special northern species, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and many different bird species.
