Your Combined Kenya and Tanzania Safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Located south of Lake Bogoria and just across the equator, the park is globally renowned for its vibrant birdlife and large populations of flamingos that form a striking pink band along the lakeshore.
Lake Nakuru is also one of Kenya’s most important rhino sanctuaries, protecting both black and white rhinos alongside Rothschild’s giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife species. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive across the park’s scenic acacia woodland and open plains. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your luxury lodge overlooking the lake.

The reserve is home to large populations of lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and buffalo. Today marks an exciting transition on your Combined Kenya and Tanzania Safari as you travel from Kenya into Tanzania through the Isebania border crossing. The journey itself becomes a game drive as you move through landscapes that connect the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems.
Arrive in Serengeti National Park in the afternoon and continue with a game drive en route to your luxury lodge. Evening game drives may also be arranged, offering opportunities to see predators becoming active as the sun sets across the endless plains.

The next two days are dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. The name Serengeti means “endless plains” in the Maasai language, and the park’s expansive savannah stretches as far as the eye can see.
Home to more than two million large animals, the Serengeti hosts massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles that migrate across the ecosystem each year. These animals attract predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards, creating dramatic wildlife encounters during your game drives.
Beyond the large mammals, the Serengeti is also home to smaller animals including bat-eared foxes, honey badgers, jackals, and baboons, as well as nearly 500 species of birds.
