Tour Plan

Your journey begins with pickup from your Zanzibar hotel and a flight to Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park. Upon landing, your safari guide will welcome you and take you straight into the bush for a full-day game drive. This vast, remote park is rich with wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and even endangered species like the African wild dog.

Midday, you’ll pause for a hot lunch and some relaxation before continuing with the afternoon drive. As the sun sets, head to your accommodation for dinner and a restful night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Accommodation: Selous Safari Lodge

After breakfast, head out for a morning boat safari on the Rufiji River. This scenic cruise gives you close encounters with hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an incredible variety of birds. The riverbanks are often teeming with animals coming to drink or cool off — making it one of the best spots for wildlife photography.

After your boat safari, transfer back to Mtemere Airstrip and catch your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off at your hotel — ending your quick but action-packed safari experience.
