3-Day Mara Serena Safari

Overview

If you’re short on time but still want a true African safari experience, this 3-day private driving safari to Masai Mara National Reserve is ideal. Masai Mara is famous for its dramatic wildebeest migration, large predator population, and endless savannah landscapes. As one of the most renowned game reserves in the world—and the filming location for BBC’s Big Cat Diaries—it offers unmatched opportunities to see lions, leopards, elephants, and more. This tour combines comfort and adventure while staying at the iconic Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Tour Plan

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge, one of the park’s most stunningly located properties. After settling in, you'll head out on your first game drive, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and the famous big cats. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing with morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara is home to an incredible range of animals including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). Expect to see large herds of herbivores, predators in action, and possibly the seasonal wildebeest migration, depending on travel dates. The reserve is also home to the Maasai people, often seen near the park with their livestock and rich cultural traditions.

After breakfast, you’ll check out and enjoy a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Depending on your departure time, you can opt for lunch or additional leisure activities in the city before your airport drop-off.
