4-Day Taste of Kenya – Luxury
Overview
Experience a refined four-day safari exploring two of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations: Maasai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park. The Maasai Mara is among Africa’s premier safari locations, offering exceptional year-round game viewing and outstanding chances to see big cats in their natural habitat. Lake Nakuru, renowned as a rhino sanctuary, protects a thriving population of both black and white rhinos, along with its iconic flocks of flamingos.
Tour Plan
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and journey to the Maasai Mara, one of the few remaining places where wildlife still roams freely in vast numbers. As part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, the reserve hosts the dramatic seasonal migration of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.
Accommodation: Sarova Mara Game Camp
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, and it’s one of the few places where spotting the Big Five in a single morning is possible. Cheetahs are frequently seen and are sometimes relaxed enough to rest near safari vehicles. Bird enthusiasts will also appreciate the nearly 500 recorded bird species, including eagles, vultures, storks, bustards, and sunbirds.
Accommodation: Sarova Mara
After an early departure, travel across the equator toward Lake Nakuru, situated in the Great Rift Valley. World-famous for its flamingos, the alkaline lake often attracts vast flocks that create a striking pink shoreline. The park is also an established rhino sanctuary, home to more than 40 black rhinos and over 60 white rhinos. Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Accommodation: Ziwa Bush Lodge
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before departing late in the morning for Nairobi. Lunch will be served en route, with arrival in the city at approximately 4:00 pm.
