Your Affordable Kenya Safari Package begins with a morning departure from Nairobi. Your driver-guide collects you from your hotel, residence, or the airport before giving you a short briefing about the safari. Once everyone is ready, you leave Nairobi and travel southwest toward the Masai Mara.
The journey provides your first taste of Kenya outside the capital. The busy city gradually gives way to farmland, small towns, green hills, and rural communities. Your guide can explain some of the areas you pass, including local farming activities and the communities that live along the route.
One of the highlights of the journey is a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. From the viewpoint, you can see the huge valley stretching across the landscape, with distant hills, volcanic features, and farms below. It is a great place to take photographs before continuing toward the Mara.
As you descend from the highlands, the landscape changes again. Open grasslands begin to replace the cultivated areas, and you may start seeing zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and other animals along the route.

After breakfast, you leave the Masai Mara and begin your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes you through rural Kenya and back toward the Great Rift Valley.

By midday, you arrive in the Lake Nakuru area and check into Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. After lunch and some time to refresh, you begin your afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park provides a different safari experience from the Masai Mara. The park is well known for its rhino conservation, and both black and white rhinos can be seen here. Your guide will help you look for these impressive animals while maintaining a safe and respectful distance.
The park is also home to buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, leopards, and several antelope species. The combination of woodland, grassland, rocky areas, and the lake creates a varied environment for wildlife.

As you travel across the water, you may see African fish eagles perched near the shoreline, kingfishers, herons, pelicans, and other birds. Hippos can often be seen resting in shallow water, with only their heads visible above the surface.
The lake is also surrounded by wildlife areas. Depending on the route and conditions, you may see giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other animals near the shoreline.
You may also have the option of visiting Crescent Island, where guided walking experiences can provide a closer connection with nature. The experience offers a different perspective from a traditional vehicle-based game drive.
After the boat experience, you return to Sawela Lodge for dinner and relaxation. The peaceful setting of Naivasha provides a welcome contrast after several days of active safari.
