After pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport, travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara (approximately 5–6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Mara Game Camp followed by some relaxation.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the vast savannah. The reserve is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—along with giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and numerous antelope species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Spend the entire day exploring the Mara with extensive morning and afternoon game drives. Visit the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles thrive. Between July and October, witness the spectacular Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the crocodile-filled waters in search of greener pastures.
Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari at sunrise or a cultural visit to a Maasai village. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
