From the dramatic shores of Lake Nakuru to the vast grasslands of the Masai Mara, this journey combines spectacular wildlife encounters with carefully selected luxury accommodation and personalized safari experiences.

Your adventure begins in Nairobi before traveling to Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic Great Rift Valley destination known for its rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, diverse birdlife, and beautiful lake scenery. Enjoy game drives through the park in search of black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, and other wildlife. The dramatic setting of Lake Nakuru provides excellent opportunities for photography, particularly around the lake and surrounding escarpments.

The safari then continues to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. Spend three full days exploring the Mara’s predator-rich plains, giving you plenty of time to search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and other species. During the July to October period, you may also witness part of the spectacular Great Migration, when huge herds move through the Mara ecosystem.

This Premiere Kenya Safari also gives you the flexibility to personalize your experience. Choose between full-day game drives with picnic lunches or shorter morning and afternoon excursions. Optional activities include a sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Mara and a visit to a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience.

With luxury camps, private 4×4 transportation, professional guiding, daily game drives, meals, airport transfers, and bottled drinking water included, this 6-day safari offers a refined and immersive way to experience the wildlife wonders of Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara.

Tour Plan

Your Premiere Kenya Safari begins when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Your private safari guide will meet you and assist you before you begin your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle.

Travel through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying views of Kenya's highlands and dramatic landscapes along the way. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park and check into The Cliff, an elegant luxury tented camp positioned on an escarpment overlooking the lake.

After lunch and some time to settle in, head out for your first afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is an important habitat for both black and white rhinos and is also home to Rothschild's giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous other species. The park's birdlife is equally impressive, with hundreds of species recorded in the area.

Your guide will explore the park's diverse habitats while searching for wildlife and the best photography opportunities. As the afternoon comes to an end, return to camp and relax with a sundowner overlooking the lake.

Accommodation: The Cliff – Lake Nakuru National Park

Wake early for a sunrise game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The cooler morning temperatures provide excellent conditions for wildlife viewing, and many animals are active during the early hours.

Return to the lodge for breakfast before departing Lake Nakuru and continuing toward the Masai Mara.

The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley toward Narok, an important town and gateway to the Mara region. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for a short cultural stop in Narok.

Continue into the Masai Mara and arrive at Entim Mara Camp, a luxury eco-camp situated in an excellent wildlife-viewing area close to the Mara River.

After lunch and some relaxation, head out for your first afternoon game drive. Explore the Mara's open grasslands in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, and leopards.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and your first night beneath the African stars.

Accommodation: Entim Mara Camp

Spend three full days exploring the Masai Mara, giving you extensive time to experience one of Kenya's premier wildlife destinations.

The Mara is famous for its high concentration of predators and large populations of herbivores. During your game drives, search for lions resting in the grasslands, cheetahs scanning the open plains, leopards hiding among vegetation, and hyenas moving through the reserve.

You may also encounter large herds of elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and antelopes. Your experienced guide will monitor wildlife movements and select areas that offer the best opportunities for viewing and photography.

One of the highlights can be a visit to the Mara River. The river provides important habitat for hippos and crocodiles and becomes particularly significant during the Great Migration. If you travel between July and October, you may have the opportunity to witness migrating wildebeest and zebras crossing or gathering near the river, although sightings depend on seasonal conditions and animal movements.

Your game drives can be tailored to your preferences. Choose full-day exploration with a picnic lunch if you want to maximize your time in the reserve, or enjoy separate morning and afternoon drives with time to relax at camp between activities.

For an additional cost, enhance your safari with a sunrise hot-air balloon experience. Floating quietly above the Mara as the sun rises provides spectacular views of the plains and wildlife below, followed by a traditional breakfast.

You can also visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about local customs, music, dance, crafts, traditional homes, and everyday community life.

Each evening, return to Entim Mara Camp for dinner and relaxation after a day of wildlife exploration.

Accommodation: Entim Mara Camp

Wake early for your final game drive in the Masai Mara. This last outing provides one more opportunity to photograph wildlife and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the savannah before leaving the reserve.

Return to camp for breakfast before checking out and beginning the journey back to Nairobi.

Along the way, you can make an optional stop for lunch at your own cost. Continue toward Nairobi and arrive later in the day.

Depending on your travel arrangements, you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or at your Nairobi city hotel.
