Tour Plan
Your Kenya Luxury Safari begins with a warm welcome in Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or collection from your Nairobi hotel, you will meet our safari representative and receive a short briefing about the journey ahead.
Your first activity will be a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, one of Nairobi's well-known wildlife conservation attractions. The centre is famous for its elephant rescue and rehabilitation work. During the scheduled visiting period, you can learn about orphaned elephants, their individual stories, and the conservation efforts that help prepare them for a return to the wild.
You will then continue to the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn more about the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The centre provides an opportunity to observe these graceful animals closely and, under the centre's guidelines, feed them from the raised platform.
After your Nairobi sightseeing activities, you will be transferred to your hotel. The evening is free to relax after your journey, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the safari adventure beginning the following morning.
Accommodation: Argyle Grand Hotel, Nairobi Airport
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel towards the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through changing landscapes as you leave the busy capital and enter Kenya's Great Rift Valley and rural countryside.
Maasai Mara is one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations and forms part of the larger Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. The reserve is known for its open grasslands, abundant wildlife, scenic landscapes, and excellent opportunities for game viewing.
On arrival, you will check into your camp and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. Your guide will take you across the reserve in search of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Depending on the season and animal movements, you may also encounter large concentrations of wildebeest and other migratory animals.
As the afternoon progresses, the changing light creates excellent opportunities for wildlife photography. After the game drive, return to camp for dinner and an evening of relaxation.
Accommodation: Sarova Mara Game Camp
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, set out with your experienced safari guide for a full-day game drive. A packed lunch allows you to spend more time inside the reserve rather than returning to camp during the middle of the day.
The Mara's open plains provide excellent opportunities to search for some of Kenya's most famous animals. Your guide will follow recent wildlife activity and suitable tracks while keeping a respectful distance from the animals. You may encounter elephants moving across the plains, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, large herds of zebras and wildebeest, buffaloes, hippos, and different species of antelope.
Predators are one of the major attractions of the Mara, and you may have opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Leopard sightings are also possible, although these secretive cats can be difficult to find.
If you are travelling during the Great Migration period, you may see large numbers of wildebeest and zebras in the ecosystem. However, migration movements vary each year, and specific river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
An optional Maasai village visit can be arranged for an additional fee, giving you an opportunity to learn about traditional Maasai culture, homes, crafts, dances, and community life.
Return to Sarova Mara Game Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Accommodation: Sarova Mara Game Camp
After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey provides another opportunity to enjoy Kenya's changing landscapes as you travel through the Great Rift Valley region.
After arriving in the Lake Nakuru area and having lunch, continue with a game drive in the national park. Lake Nakuru is known for its diverse wildlife and is an important habitat for rhinos. During your drive, keep watch for both black and white rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, baboons, waterbucks, and other plains animals.
The lake is also an important bird habitat, and birdlife can be particularly impressive when water and food conditions are favorable. Flamingos may sometimes be seen around the lake, although their numbers and locations change depending on environmental conditions.
Your guide will choose suitable routes according to wildlife activity and the time available. The park's combination of woodland, grassland, rocky viewpoints, and lake scenery provides excellent opportunities for photography.
After the game drive, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru and continue to Lake Naivasha, one of the beautiful freshwater lakes in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. The area is known for its peaceful scenery, birdlife, hippos, and surrounding wildlife habitats.
After arriving at your accommodation, enjoy lunch and some time to relax. Depending on your chosen activities and available time, you can explore the surroundings or take part in an optional boat excursion on Lake Naivasha.
A boat ride provides an excellent way to experience the lake from the water. You may see hippos resting in shallow water and a variety of water birds around the lake. The lake's calm environment also provides a welcome change from the busy game-drive schedule.
An optional visit to Crescent Island can also be arranged at an additional cost. This guided walking experience allows you to explore a protected wildlife area on foot and observe animals such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a different way from a traditional vehicle safari.
After your activities, return to the resort for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Accommodation: Enashipai Resort & Spa
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and begin the journey towards Amboseli National Park. This is a longer travel day, but the changing scenery makes the journey interesting as you move towards southern Kenya.
Amboseli is one of Kenya's most iconic safari destinations. It is especially famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. On clear days, the mountain creates one of the most memorable backdrops in Kenya.
Upon arrival, check into Ol Tukai Lodge and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli. Explore the park's open plains, seasonal wetlands, woodland areas, and dry landscapes while searching for elephants and other wildlife.
The afternoon can be particularly rewarding as animals become more active when temperatures begin to fall. Keep watch for buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, antelopes, and predators such as lions and cheetahs.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Accommodation: Ol Tukai Lodge
Today is a full day of wildlife exploration in Amboseli. After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive when wildlife is often active and the temperatures are cooler.
Amboseli is renowned for its elephants, and you may have excellent opportunities to observe these impressive animals moving between feeding areas and water sources. The park also supports buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, hyenas, lions, cheetahs, and numerous bird species.
You will also visit or stop near Observation Hill, one of the park's popular viewpoints. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views across the Amboseli landscape and, when weather conditions are clear, see Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance.
A picnic or lodge lunch can be arranged depending on the day's schedule, followed by more wildlife exploration. Your guide will select areas where recent animal activity has been reported and may adjust the route according to wildlife movements.
As the afternoon develops, continue your game drive before returning to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and your final night in the Amboseli wilderness.
Accommodation: Ol Tukai Lodge
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi. As you leave Amboseli, you may have one final opportunity to enjoy views of the park and its surrounding landscapes.
The journey takes you through the Kenyan countryside towards the capital. Depending on your departure time, your guide can arrange a suitable stop for lunch along the way.
If your international flight is later in the evening, you may also have time for shopping in Nairobi or a short stop at a suitable shopping centre, subject to your flight schedule.
You will then be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or at your Nairobi hotel if you are staying longer.
This marks the end of your Kenya Luxury Safari, filled with wildlife encounters, beautiful landscapes, cultural experiences, and unforgettable memories from four of Kenya's most famous safari destinations.
