Your guide will assist you with the border crossing and immigration procedures before you continue into Tanzania. The journey offers opportunities to observe rural landscapes, local communities, farms, and changing scenery as you travel south.
After lunch, continue toward Serengeti National Park. As you approach the park, the landscape begins to open into the vast plains for which the Serengeti is famous. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy wildlife viewing along the route to your lodge.
Although this is a longer travel day, it provides a fascinating transition between two of East Africa’s most important safari ecosystems.
Arrive at your lodge, check in, enjoy dinner, and relax ahead of the next two days of Serengeti exploration.

Early morning drives offer excellent photographic conditions, with soft light illuminating the plains and animals becoming active. After breakfast and time to relax, continue with an afternoon game drive when wildlife becomes active again as temperatures begin to fall.
The Serengeti also offers opportunities to appreciate the landscape itself. Its enormous grasslands, rocky kopjes, acacia trees, and distant horizons create the classic African safari scenery many travelers dream of experiencing.

Leave the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of Tanzania's highlands before continuing toward the crater.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural landscapes. Created by the collapse of an ancient volcanic mountain, the crater now forms a vast natural enclosure containing grasslands, woodland, wetlands, and water sources that support a large variety of wildlife.
On arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the spectacular views before descending into the crater for your game drive. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and other species. The crater is also an important habitat for numerous bird species.
Day 8 provides a full-day crater safari, allowing you to explore the ecosystem at a relaxed pace. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a suitable location, perhaps near a hippo pool or beneath the shade of an acacia tree, before continuing your wildlife exploration.
Return to your lodge in the evening and enjoy dinner while overlooking the dramatic highland surroundings.
