Day 01: Nairobi – Samburu.

Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive Northwards to Samburu Game Reserve through Mt. Kenya and past Coffee plantations. Lunch at the camp on arrival and game drive en-route in search of the rare reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich, all of which are rare in other game parks.

Accommodation at the Samburu camp/lodge or similar.

Day 01: Nairobi – Samburu.
Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive Northwards to Samburu Game Reserve through Mt. Kenya and past Coffee plantations. Day 02: Samburu.
Morning and evining game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is a home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Accommodation at Samburu camp/lodge or similar.

Day 03: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Breakfast at 0630hrs; leave Camp/Lodge with game drive en-route. Drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley for lake Nakuru through the Thompson Falls. Accommodation at Lake Nakuru camp/Lodge or similar.

Day 04: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi.
Breakfast at 0630hrs then proceed for game drive in Lake Nakuru national park, the ornithologists’ paradise with over four hundred bird spices and also known as a the pink lake due to the thousands of flamingoes that inhabit the Lake. Lake Nakuru is a home to Waterbucks, Rhinos, warthogs Thomson’s Gazelles, three climbing Lions, hyraxes and countless baboons hippos. Depart for Nairobi after lunch arriving in the evening.
